What I've Learned About My Daughter

(of course this is all speculation, but who cares)

This little girl is such a night owl! I rarely feel her move during the day... that is, until about 5:30 or 6 pm. It's almost as if she sleeps all day long, and then wakes up and says "HELLO! See! I'm here! Nope... now I'm over over! Gotcha again! I'm over here now!" She is so active in the evening, especially if I'm up and down a lot at work. I just love it. This may just be my favorite part of pregnancy so far.

Also, pretty sure she adores Kettle Cooked Salt and Vinegar chips. Because I've never really cared about them much until the last three days. Cannot. Get. Enough. It's as though Salt and Vinegar chips are the greatest food on earth and I want them always. So funny, she just kicked me when I started thinking about them. My brain knows this is coincidence, but my stomach does not....

Okay now that there is a bag of delicious crunchiness next to me I can keep writing. Look how far we've come...

The third thing I've learned is that I think I love her more everyday. I can't even tell you how many times I've watched her ultrasound video and looked at her pictures. I just absolutely loooove it. I am so looking forward to meeting this little one. 19 more weeks....

20 Week Ultrasound

Our 20 week ultrasound was yesterday! And I'm so excited to say that everything is going well! Her placenta is fine, its not as low as it was originally which makes me happy. And that subchorionic hemorrhage has resolved! Definitely relieved about that. (They won't take me off of lifting restrictions for the rest of my pregnancy though. Regardless of whether or not it has healed, it happened, and they want me taking it easy).

Here are a few pictures of our darling little girl!

It was so fun to see her moving around again. And goodness does she move a lot! As soon as the ultrasound tech could get one organ into view, she'd move. lol. She is definitely active. When I had my ultrasound at 6 weeks, they put my estimated date of delivery as October 5. Right now she is measuring to deliver about 3 days earlier than that. We're still going with October 5 though, because the earlier an ultrasound the more accurate it will be. And 3 days isn't that much of a difference anyway!

Halfway

Oh my goodness we're twenty weeks! It's hard to believe we're already at the halfway point. The last few months have seriously flown by. I have mornings where I wake up and swear she grew overnight because I feel HUGE (I know, I know, I don't know what huge means yet... lol). Baby preparations are well underway now, and I am loving it! First Robbie put together the dresser, and then we bought a crib! It's beautiful and I adore it! He built it for me last night, and it is just perfect. Exactly what I wanted. I think sometime this week I'm off to the craft store so I can start some of my fun baby projects that I've been designing for years. Here's hoping they turn out half as well as what I've imagined.

Here are a few pictures of my wonderful husband and the beautiful crib he built last night! Loooove it!

One more baby bump picture, because this dress may just be one of my favorite things in my closet right now. And the weather is FINALLY nice enough to wear it!

Progress

We are FINALLY making visible progress on the nursery! It felt like we were in the cleaning stage of turning our office into a nursery FOREVER. But we're done with that part, and on to the exciting part! (Thank you Sheryl for letting us use your carpet cleaner... it looks SO much better!) We bought what will be used as the "dresser"/changing table/ perfect place to put stuff like diapers, etc this week! I think it's technically meant as a bookshelf, but it is PERFECT (thank you Rachel for letting me steal your genius idea!). And the best part about it? When I left for work last night it was still in pieces in a box, and when I got home I found this!

I'm telling you, I have the most amazing husband! Thank you so much, Robbie! That was the best surprise! I love you! :)

As far as baby updates go... things are going very well! 19 weeks now and goodness does this little girl move around a lot lately! It's always at night, especially if I'm at work. Sometimes there are days where I hardly feel anything at all, and then there are times like last night... where I just had to giggle because there is no doubt anymore that I am actually feeling what I saw on that ultrasound 4 weeks ago. I am so loving this! Now if I could do something about my crazy anxiety, things would be just perfect :)
